Bow Hunting!!!

This last weekend we went with my family on the opening weekend of the bow hunt. This is our yearly family reunion and we always have so much fun! Nikson loves the four wheelers and this year was especially fun for him to play outside ALL day and night with his cousins! He has finally figured out that they all are much more fun than mom and dad!

Where's Nikson?!!

So Jake came home with some new fun for Nikson!! He is loving building "forts" with Daddy! And all other cool things! I don't think Jake knew what he was getting himself into by building such cool things to hide and play in!!!! He loves Jake so much and I am not joking when I say he is "obsessed" with his dad! I love my two boys so much and am so thankful for them. I love to just sit and watch them play together and see how happy they make each other!!

This is the laying down fort.

I see you!!!

Oh no!!! Daddy got inside too!

Look at that face!! Isn't he so adorable?!

He fits!!

So Jake, Nikson and I all went to Fetal Foto's a week ago to find out what this new baby is! I could not wait til 20 weeks to find out! That is way too long! We found out it is a GIRL! I am so excited to have one of each now! Jake will have his hunting partner and side kick and I'll get a little girly shopping partner (not that Nikson isn't great at shopping!!!)!!!

A Hunting We Will GO!

So this last weekend we went on the Muzzleloader deer hunt for Jake. It was the most beautiful scenery ever! The leaves are incredible! I wish I had a brighter better picture of them so you could see! WOW is all I can say about them! We didn't stay too long, because Jake wasn't feeling so good, but we had a lot of fun for the short time we were there!! I love the pictures of Jake and Nikson! He totally loves his dad and wants to do everything Jake is doing!! Oh and we saw the weirdest thing! A doe running for her life while an eagle swooped down and tried getting her! It was the most insane thing I've ever seen!

Throwing rocks in the river while fetching with the dogs!

The most beautiful sunset!

Cheese!

Glassing for deer! (and throwing rocks off the edge!)

My two handsome boys!

Flaming Gorge

For the 4th of July we went to Flaming Gorge with Jake's family. We had lots of fun just hanging out at camp and going boating! Nikson was so scared of the boat the first few times, but once Daddy got a say in it all, Nikson was having the time of his life on the tube and hanging over the side of the boat touching the water and then they sat on the back of the boat and fished and put their feet in the water! He loved it! We also went into the town of Dutch John to watch the fireworks! I love fireworks so much! They make me so happy! And best of all sitting with my two boys on the blanket and hearing Nikson say "Whoa" after the big loud ones!

The day we went home I needed to go out on the tube one last time and lucky me, the one that doesn't know how to swim and is a bit afraid of the water, goes 5 feet in the air over top of Jamie (Jake's sister) and straight into the water! I scream "help me! save me! don't let go of me!" and am totally freaked out! Thankfully Jamie and Gary (Jake's dad) got me into the boat and safe again! Its way funny now, but I have never been so scared in all my life!

Pulled off the side of the road on the way there!

Riverton Carnival!

Mommy and Niks on the Dragon coaster.

Here they come down the slide!

Get me off this thing!!

I really wanted to take Nikson to the carnival and let him go on rides and eat junk, but low and behold my child is not normal and hated it! I am sure we had something to do with it since the first ride we took him on was a roller coaster!! Whoops! What mean parents we are to do that do a 1 year old! Then Daddy took him down the big slippery slide and I thought for sure that he'd like that, but he screamed and cried the whole way down! He ran off it as fast as he could! So funny!! Last thing we did was took him on the ferris wheel and he hid his face in my body the whole time!! Jake is sure that his parents did that to him when he was little and that is why he hates rides too! Must be a Thomas thing!
