Well he did it, so we kept our end of the bargain and got him his very own four wheeler!!! He LOVES it to say the least! He slept with his keys for the first 2 months and carried them everywhere and wouldn't stop asking if he could ride it every hour of every day!! He luckily listens very well to Jake's instruction on it and has learned to ride it very well for a 3 year old!! Nikson is so paranoid about going to the doctor in fear of getting a shot or something painful that we decided not to tell him about this surgery. The morning of we had to be to the surgical center by 6:15 am, so we just carried him out to he car and were on our way. We just kept telling him not to worry about anything and try and sleep! When we got there he was pretty chipper considering he is not an early morning person (hence the first picture you see)! They gave him medicine to help him not be nervous to leave us and at that time we told him what was about to happen! It all happened pretty quickly which was nice so that Jake and I didn't have too long to worry. Its been about 2 weeks and he is finally starting to feel little to no pain. Everyone has told us that kids heal faster and it will be so easy, but my child must not be a quick healer. It has been a rough 2 weeks of misery for my little guy. It breaks my heart to see him in pain. Wow! Time goes by so fast...it seems like yesterday that he was born. Crazy! Well he had an eventful week long birthday! We first celebrated with my family at Aunt Jen's house (I forgot my camera so we are lacking those pictures!), then on his actual birthday, we took him to Chuckie Cheese! It was so much fun! Grandma Chris and Grandpa Denny came also Jen and Emma. Then Saturday we did a combined Mickey Mouse Birthday with Brigham Wilcox who is Nikson's friend! Their birthdays are two days apart! This was his first "friend" birthday! He was a little shy still but seemed to have a good time! That evening we went to Jake's parents house for Jake and Nikson's combined dinner party. I promised Nikson that I would make him a Mickey Mouse cake to take with us...so I started baking away as soon as all the kids left our house that morning. I started making frosting and was running out of time so I asked for Jake's help! He started decorating the Mickey cake and was doing such a great job that I asked him to do the whole thing!! Nikson was so excited once it was all done! He kept telling us "thats the best Mickey Mouse cake EBER"!!! I am so glad he had such a good 3rd birthday! I love you Nikson! She looked SO beautiful...thanks to my mom and all her hard work making the most gorgeous blessing dress I have ever seen!! She did an amazing job! Jake's dad gave the blessing and did such a great job. Afterwards we had a luncheon at our house and had lots of yummy food thanks to both of our families and friends! It went so well and I had a ton of help from my sweet sisters! Thanks to everyone who helped and came! My mom was so nice to make Brynlin a cute little Minnie Mouse outfit so she could match Nikson aka Mickey Mouse! Jake took Niks out trick or treating and Brynlin and I stayed home and passed out candy! Then we were off to see the grandparents!! It was a fun night and my kids looked so dang cute...even if Nikson wouldn't let us paint his nose and barely wore the hat and gloves for a few pictures and trick or treating!! This year we didn't get to carving our pumpkins..... (which makes me so sad to even admit it! Along with that I didn't get my Halloween decorations up!) but we did go as a family and had lots of fun looking for the perfect pumpkins for each one of us! Maybe we can still carve a few just for fun even though Halloween is over!! He cried for 2 hours straight. We kept asking him what hurt and finally Jake came to the conclusion that it had to be his collar bone. We were going to the doctor in the morning for Brynlin's 2 wk appointment, so we decided to wait and just take him then too. We had to take hime to Primary Children's to get an xray and low and behold he did break it! SO! Back to the doctors to get a brace for him to wear so he was more comfortable. Poor baby boy! Broke my heart to see him in so much pain. It is so amazing though how tough kids are. Dang! I am such a wimp compared to him! It was the most beautiful scenery ever! The leaves are incredible! I wish I had a brighter better picture of them so you could see! WOW is all I can say about them! We didn't stay too long, because Jake wasn't feeling so good, but we had a lot of fun for the short time we were there!! I love the pictures of Jake and Nikson! He totally loves his dad and wants to do everything Jake is doing!! Oh and we saw the weirdest thing! A doe running for her life while an eagle swooped down and tried getting her! We had lots of fun just hanging out at camp and going boating! Nikson was so scared of the boat the first few times, but once Daddy got a say in it all, Nikson was having the time of his life on the tube and hanging over the side of the boat touching the water and then they sat on the back of the boat and fished and put their feet in the water! He loved it! We also went into the town of Dutch John to watch the fireworks! I love fireworks so much! They make me so happy! And best of all sitting with my two boys on the blanket and hearing Nikson say "Whoa" after the big loud ones! </div><br /><br /><div>The day we went home I needed to go out on the tube one last time and lucky me, the one that doesn't know how to swim and is a bit afraid of the water, goes 5 feet in the air over top of Jamie (Jake's sister) and straight into the water! I scream "help me! save me! don't let go of me!" and am totally freaked out! Thankfully Jamie and Gary (Jake's dad) got me into the boat and safe again! I am sure we had something to do with it since the first ride we took him on was a roller coaster!! Whoops! What mean parents we are to do that do a 1 year old! Then Daddy took him down the big slippery slide and I thought for sure that he'd like that, but he screamed and cried the whole way down! He ran off it as fast as he could! So funny!! Last thing we did was took him on the ferris wheel and he hid his face in my body the whole time!! Jake is sure that his parents did that to him when he was little and that is why he hates rides too!
